Artist Statement
The world is a stage. Backgrounds are already set up and all it takes is for players to walk onto that stage. It may take an instant, a few seconds or minutes for all the elements to align themselves into a visual scene. In that fleeting moment, unconsciously, everyone and everything comes together to tell a story.
My “Street Tableaux” are candid captures of ordinary people going about their daily lives. They are disconnected until at some magical moment they unintentionally choreograph themselves to become connected within the camera’s frame. A little of luck and timing. See and capture it quickly. Blink and miss it forever. Moments of serendipity, slices of life, coincidences.
