Artist Bio:
Barbara is a photographer who lives in the rural foothills of San Diego county. For much of her life she has had an interest in photography and continues her education locally at Palomar College. She is currently using both digital and film to capture images; with special interest in the digital darkroom and alternative photographic processes.
Her appreciation of the raw reality of life and the beauty of nature works to bring a unique depth to her photographic images. Barbara’s primary goal is her personal enjoyment in creating photographs and secondly to have the opportunity to provide a viewer with enjoyment and a connection to the image.
Her photography is in private collections in the United States, New Zealand and England. She is a member of the Carlsbad Oceanside Art League and The Photographers Eye Collective. Accomplishments include multiple exhibits in San Diego and Orange County, California. She recently received several awards at the San Diego County Fair for her alternative photographic processed works.
